Language Support at the Faculty of Education

The Language Support service is available to all students who are interested in improving their oral and written language skills in English or Swedish for academic purposes. We offer tutoring sessions on an individual basis or in small groups. Here you will find relevant information about how to book a tutorial or an introductory session at the language lab.

Tutoring sessions

Please contact us by e-mail to book a tutoring session. If you are interested in working with a text that you have written, we would like you to send it to us at least one day before the appointment. You can also tell us a little about what you are primarily interested in improving. Don't forget to include the name of your faculty in your e-mail.

You are welcome to the Language Support facility for a single tutoring session, or continuously throughout your studies.

Pronunciation practice

Do you want to improve your English or Swedish pronunciation?
By using our resources (digital in Swedish and analogue in English) in the language lab, you can work on your pronunciation at your own pace. Contact a tutor from the Language Support facility, who will help you get started and answer any questions that you have. It is easy to practice on your own!
The Language Lab is situated on level 2, Renströmsgatan 6 (at Humanisten – the Faculty of Arts).

To practice Swedish pronunciation, you may contact the Language Support at the Faculty of Education for access to computer software free of charge. You are also welcome to book a tutoring session to work on your pronunciation in preparation for a presentation or for reading aloud to children. For more information, please send us an e-mail.
