Time: 3/7/2012 at 10:15 AM,
Location: Pedagogen - Building A, room AK2 136

Event type: Seminar open to the public

This seminar will be focused on technology, on how introducing computer mediated dialogue in education may enhance the dialogical dimension. I will start from a definition of technology as artifact based on the cultural-historical approach. Then, I will use Wartofsky¿s three-level of artifact to contend that these levels are dynamic and depending on the cultural-historical moment in which we look at a specific artifact. I will describe a few research projects carried out by myself to show that current technology suggests a new fourth level of artifact.

Lecturer: Associate Professor Beatrice Ligorio, University of Bari, Italy
